My name is Beverley and I am a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
I studied Mental Health Nursing at Bournemouth University where I gained a First Class Honours Degree in
Mental Health Nursing. Following this, I completed my Post Graduate CBT training at the University of Southampton.
Since qualifying as a CBT therapist, I have gained invaluable experience of delivering effective CBT therapy to adults and young people suffering with Depression, Low Self-Esteem, a range of Anxiety Disorders, Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I have experience of working as a CBT Therapist within two NHS psychological IAPT services in Hampshire and Dorset and also within a Specialist Eating Disorders Service.
I set up my own private clinic on a part-time basis in January 2016 to offer a professional and flexible service to meet the needs of individuals that do not wish to access CBT treatment through the NHS. My practice has grown steadily over time and I am pleased to say I am now getting recommendations from previous clients. As a result, I recently left the NHS to enable me to focus on my private practice.
As a CBT Therapist, I will work with you and help you to explore your difficulties in a safe and non-judgemental environment, where confidentiality, a sense of safety and a shared understanding of your current difficulties are of the utmost importance, to help you to make the necessary changes you want to and need to make. My overall aim is to teach and empower you to become your own therapist.
My Qualifications are as Follows:
